Orlando Pirates kicked their league title defence off with victory in the Betway Premiership, sweeping away debutants Milford 2-0 in their season-opener played at Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday. The Buccaneers dominated the newbies in front of the sell-out crowd in Soweto. Pirates fans came out of the stadium in song and with a firm belief that their team will defend the league title. They boasted that they have no competition in the league and that their only struggle this season is the CAF Champions League.
