PM Modi Reacts to Jantar Mantar Abuse: ‘These Children Are Ours’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the controversy over abusive remarks made at Jantar Mantar in a video message released on Friday. Referring to the youths involved as “our children,” PM Modi said the incident should become an opportunity to guide and correct young people rather than permanently condemn them.
He said both he and his late mother were targeted with language that had no place in a civilised society. While acknowledging the public anger over the incident, the Prime Minister urged people to respond with guidance instead of punishment, litigation or social harassment.
