* Banyana Banyana have levelled in their second game of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Tonight was a must win for Banyana after they also lost their tournamnet opener 2-1 aginst Tanzania.
* Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has informed South Africans that he will not extend his contract, bringing the curtain down on a five-year spell in charge of the national team. The Belgian mentor has been candid since late last year about his desire to retire from coaching saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
* Families of South Africans who died or disappeared in Angola during the liberation struggle have been urged to come forward as government launches the next phase od repatriating the remains of those who never returned from exile. The repatriation mission is focused on Angola, where over 400 potential graves of liberation fighters who died between 1976 and 1992 have been identified.
* Members of the Pan-African Parliament representing South Africa have reaffirmed the country’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting its economic interests and safeguarding the constitutional rights of all people, while rejecting violence and intimidation amid ongoing protests relating to illegal migration.
* The South African Police Service has filled critical provincial commissioner positions in four provinces namely the Western Cape, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. The move is part of the SAPS Reset Agenda to strengthen leadership and accountability.
