Carnarvon, a Western Australian regional town of approximately 5,000 residents, is experiencing a significant crime wave involving children and teenagers stealing vehicles, breaking into caravans, and targeting local businesses. Police have charged six people with 53 offences including car theft, stealing and armed robbery, but the offending continues to impact residents and tourists. The local Toy World store has been targeted three times in five months, including a recent ram raid, while multiple tourists have had their caravans broken into and vehicles stolen, leaving them stranded in the town.
