Public Examinations Amendment Bill: What changes the Centre has proposed
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, seeks to make anti-cheating laws more stringent by increasing jail terms and fines for offenders, service providers and organised crime syndicates. The Bill also proposes special fast-track courts and mandates completion of investigations within two months to ensure speedy justice and strengthen the credibility of public examinations.
