Labor considering changing their stance on Uluru Statement
Labor Party members are considering a change to the party’s stance on the Uluru Statement of the Heart, including removing support for a truth telling commission.
At the 50th annual conference, members will be considering social policies, including their positions on Indigenous Rights issues.
A draft proposal is being considered to change their current support for constitiutional recognition and establishing the Makarrata commission to support the statement “in principle”.
