New rules regulating Section 89 inquiries adopted


The National Assembly has adopted the report looking at the rules around section 89 inquiries in Parliament. Section 89 of the Constitution deals with the impeachment of a sitting President. In May the Concourt ruled that Parliament’s rules on the impeachment of a president were invalid. This report, will now guide the Impeachment Committee in its work.
