#Paraglider survives mid-air #collision with #plane over Austrian #Alps
A 44-year-old paraglider survived a terrifying mid-air collision with a small plane over the Austrian Alps after the aircraft tore through her canopy and sent her spiraling toward the ground.
The dramatic incident, caught on an action camera, happened near Piesendorf in Austria’s Salzburg region. The woman managed to deploy her reserve parachute and safely land on a forest road despite the collapse of her glider.
She was later airlifted to safety with minor injuries, while the pilot of the sightseeing plane also landed safely. Authorities are now investigating the collision.
