AFL icon Neale Daniher to receive state funeral | ABC NEWS


Former Australian of the Year Neale Daniher has died at age 65, after 13 years of battling motor neurone disease (MND).
Not only will the former Essendon player and former coach of the Melbourne Football Club be remembered for his AFL career but also his unwavering advocacy to find a cure for MND.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has confirmed his family accepted the offer of a state funeral, while Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also paid tribute to the late advocate.
