Gaza flotilla volunteers arrive in South Africa
A large group of activists and humanitarian volunteers from several countries who sailed toward Gaza Strip with aid has arrived in South Africa.
The group traveled by boat in an effort to deliver humanitarian assistance to Palestinians and protest against Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza.
One of the vessels was allegedly intercepted just 400 metres from Gaza, with several activists later detained.
The Global Sumud Flotilla South Africa addressed the media shortly after landing at O.R. Tambo International Airport.
