What to know about Hong Kong airport’s new Terminal 2
Hong Kong International Airport is set to open its second terminal to travellers on May 27, 2026. The new terminal is expected to handle around 8 million passenger trips in the first year of operation. The phased move, expected to conclude on June 10, will mainly involve regional and low-cost carriers, including HK Express and AirAsia group airlines.
