Eskom Tariffs | Consumers to pay more for electricity from July

Eskom’s winter tariffs are set to kick off from the 1st of June through to the 31st of August 2026.

This is over and above the 8.76 percent increase in the NERSA-approved tariffs that were implemented on the 1st of April.

Industrial users will be stung by higher rates particularly at peak times, first thing in the morning and in the early evening when demand is generally at its highest.

Come the first of July, those consumers supplied by municipalities with power will likely be paying more than the 8.76% hike levied by Eskom to its direct customers, as they charge a premium over Eskom, with a dose of the higher winter tariffs on top.
