‘Despicable tax grab’: Angus Taylor overtakes Albanese as the preferred prime minister

Sky News host Sharri Markson claims Labor’s sweeping tax reforms are triggering voter backlash as concerns grow over inheritance-style taxes and rising costs.

“A tax on family trusts that amounts to an inheritance tax. A breach of trust with voters. And a tax package that will cost Australians $78 billion over the next decade,” Ms Markson said.

“It’s no wonder that Angus Taylor has overtaken Albanese as the preferred prime minister just three months into the job, according to the Herald’s poll.

“He dresses these changes up as bold, ambitious reform, when in reality they are nothing more than a despicable tax grab.

“Perhaps the poll numbers today will be a wakeup call that he should rethink these disastrous decisions.”
