Heavy Rains | Farmers in Gamtoos Valley suffer losses
The cost of the flood that hit parts of the western half of the Eastern Cape just over a week ago, is still being tallied. Estimates point to hundreds of millions of rands of damage, especially in agricultural hubs like the Gamtoos Valley. The Kouga municipality has already estimated the damage to its infrastructure and roads at R180-million.
