Armed Father Arrested for DUI After Passing Out With Child in Car

A 26-year-old Florida man was arrested for DUI after deputies found him passed out behind the wheel at a gas station in Plant City with his 5-year-old son in the backseat and a handgun visible inside the vehicle. The child told deputies his father was “just sleeping.” Authorities charged Patrick Voegtly with driving under the influence, child neglect, and improper exhibition of a firearm.
