Alex Murdaugh’s murder convictions of wife and son overturned
LiveNOW’s Anna Marsick is speaking with trial attorney, Andrea Lewis, after the South Carolina Supreme Court overturned the murder conviction and life sentence for Alex Murdaugh. Reports indicate that the high court ruled unanimously that conduct by a court clerk “egregiously attacked Murdaugh’s credibility” by suggesting to jurors his testimony could not be trusted. The court also said the trial judge went too far in allowing evidence of Murdaugh’s financial crimes into his murder trial.
