Keir Starmer humiliated as Labour haemorrhage over 1,300 seats as Reform surges
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has faced mounting pressure as Labour suffers huge election defeats across the United Kingdom.
Following the results in England, Wales and Scotland, pressure has mounted on Starmer to resign as Prime Minister.
Despite calls for the Labour Party leader’s resignation, Starmer asserted he would not quit and “plunge the country into chaos”.
Following the latest results, Labour lost its 27-year rule in Wales as the Scottish National Party remains the largest party in Scotland, according to the BBC.
Reform UK scored huge wins in England, with the party snapping up over 1,400 seats in areas Labour and Conservatives have traditionally dominated.
