Umno anniversary: Zahid reflects on KJ saga, urges party to move forward

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi openly admitted that he was not free from mistakes during the party’s earlier turmoil that led to Khairy Jamaluddin’s expulsion.

However, the Barisan Nasional chairman stressed that Khairy, a former Umno Youth chief, had also made certain mistakes.

While delivering his winding-up speech at the party 80th anniversary celebration on Saturday (May 2), he urged party members to admit past errors, improve weaknesses, and avoid internal divisions.
