‘Enough is enough’: Gold Coast council under fire after increase in high-rise buildings
Courier Mail Columnist Des Houghton explains why veteran Gold Coast property developer Norm Ric is taking aim at the Gold Coast government and local council over an explosion in high-rise buildings.
There are fears for the future of Surfers Paradise following an increase in high-rise towers and worsening traffic.
“He says the Gold Coast has become like Hong Kong with concrete canyons and he fears for the worst,” Mr Houghton told Sky News Australia.
“He says there’s more to come because there is still a lot more high-rise to be developed and the council keeps approving it.”
