Makhi’s Kitchen
Kota Festival | 40+ years of legacy in every bite! 🏠
Meet CJ and Chichi Edwards from Makhi’s Fast Food – carrying their grandparents’ dream since 1982
Starting with Gogo Nomalanga and Mkhulu Elliot Radebe in Diepkloof, this Soweto legend has been feeding the community for over four decades.
“Makhi’s” means “neighbour” – and their mission? Making sure the next person has something to eat.
From grandparents to parents to CJ and Chichi – this isn’t just business, it’s pure passion passed down through generations.
“We don’t just place our kotas – we create an experience,” says Chichi.
Now watch Andiswa taste 40+ years of perfection!
This is why they’re heading to Jozi Kota Festival on 25 April – bringing that neighbour love to the masses!
