Preventing an era of nuclear anarchy: Sherwin Bryce-Pease reports
The current fraught geopolitical context places ahead of us a number of challenges that exacerbates the uncertainty surrounding the future of nuclear disarmament and the non-proliferation regime.
That was the message delivered by the leader of South Africa’s Delegation Ambassador Xolisa Mabhongo to the 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons currently underway in New York.
Mabhongo told the plenary that South Africa supported the inalienable right of nations to pursue the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
