‘A lot of symbolism’: King Charles and Queen Camilla meet Trump at White House

Former US charge d’affaires to the UK Philip Reeker says King Charles has established a “rapport” with US President Donald Trump.

“Regardless of who’s in 10 Downing Street and who’s in the White House, there’s a lot more to the US-UK relationship,” Mr Reeker told Sky News Australia.

“The King is here to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence … a lot of symbolism.”
