King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrive in United States
Britain’s King Charles III and consort Queen Camilla have arrived in Washington DC in the United States to begin a four day state visit that includes a garden party at the White House, a address to a joint-sitting of the United States Congress and a State Banquet.
The Royal couple’s visit comes after a weekend of drama in the US capital where a lone-gunman stormed the White House Correspondents Dinner where President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet had to be evacuated by Secret Service and the event postponed.
That capped off a dramatic weekend after potential peace talks with Iran were called off in Islamabad adding several dramatic layers to the visit. Sherwin Bryce-Pease has more.
