Former Agents Praise Secret Service for Response to WH Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting

A former U.S. Secret Service agent said the protection detail “did exactly what they were supposed to do” during a shooting attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday, acting quickly to secure the president and first lady. Former agent Barry Donadio said the suspect was rapidly apprehended and credited agents with “saving the president’s life.”
