“I’m proud to work at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant” | Aleksander Grigorash
“I am proud to work at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. It is both a job and a mission,” said Aleksander Grigorash, Head of Commissioning at the plant, in an interview with Klaudia Czerwińska, a TVP World correspondent.
In the deeply moving conversation, Grigorash acknowledged that accidents, such as the 1986 disaster, can happen anywhere in the world. However, he stressed that his role and that of the other plant employees is to ensure that such tragedies never happen again. He also spoke about the terrifying events of February 2025, when a Russian drone struck the power plant.
“The world did not react strongly enough. It was an act of terrorism,” he said.
