‘There is every chance of failure’: Albanese government’s major NDIS overhaul

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell discusses the Albanese government’s biggest announcements to reform the NDIS.

“Will the government cop a backlash over this? Undoubtedly. But the view of the government is the thing was just so out of control, something had to be done,” he said.

“There is every chance of failure here with such ambitious targets … and they’re setting sights on bigger NDIS cuts than were expected.

“But Anthony Albanese took the view that the government could keep fiddling around the edges to rein in the scheme or go for broke and do it properly. And the government went for the latter.”
