SAHRC flags systemic service delivery failures in N Cape
The Human Rights Commission has released a scathing report on the state of Municipal Service Delivery in the Northern Cape. Weak systems, corruption and lack of skills are some of the findings the HRC found led to service delivery failures. The Commission says most of the problems identified can be described as systemic. In one of the recommendations, the Commission tasked Premier Dr Zamani Saul to declare a provincial state of the disaster with regards to sewage spillages in the Sol Plaatje Municipality.
