Letsopa community in North West despairs over rising crime

Residents of Letsopa Township in Ottosdal in North West say they are in despair, as police fail to protect them from criminals, who wreak havoc in the area on a daily basis. They also accuse some officers of colluding with criminals. They say house-breaking, theft and drug dealing have become common occurrences – and when they report the cases to the police, they are turned away without assistance.
