Exhibition | Patient gazes replace blueprints in ‘Jwale?’

When you “Jwale?” you are standing at a crossroads, waiting for what’s to come. It is a question without demand, open to pause and possibility. Levy Pooe and Boitumelo Motau use it as title and method in Jwale? A City Conversation, an exhibition that listens to the city instead of defining it. The exhibition notices how people make room for themselves when the old maps no longer work. This is a double program with KULTURE Blues a session dedicated to the blues as a language of work, memory, and survival. We are joined by one of the contributing artists Boitumelo Motau and curator at LitCulture Ludwekazi Ndlazi.
