Mugabe shooting victim paid R400 000
The victim in the shooting incident involving Bellarmine Mugabe, the son of former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and his cousin Tobias Matonhodze, has been paid 400 thousand rand. This is according to the investigating officer, Colonel Craig Raj.
Sipho Mahlangu, the security guard injured during the incident in February, was first compensated 250 thousand and a further 150 thousand rand.
This is according to Investigating Officer, Col. Craig Raj, who took the stand in aggravation of sentence. Raj also told the court that a harsh sentence should be imposed, as both the accused are still not revealing the whereabouts of the firearm used on the day.
