Freedom Month | Three decades of freedom
Although significant growth has been achieved since our country’s first non-racial and democratic elections on the 27th of April 1994, many South Africans are yet to live in dignity, comfort and peace as enshrined in our Constitution. As we celebrate Freedom Day on Monday, how much have the promises of the 1994 elections been fulfilled?
This morning, we reflect on the three decades of our country’s freedom and democracy we are asking what Freedom Day means for South Africans.
We are joined by two of the country’s social activists, Tumi Sole, Founder of #CountryDuty and social activist, and Sthandiwe Msomi, Economist and social activist.
