Labour Relations | BEMAWU in the firing line: Mary Ngwetjana
The Department of Employment and Labour has published a notice of intention to cancel the registration of the Broadcasting Electronic Media and Allied Workers Union, BEMAWU. The department says the union failed to comply with provisions of the Labour Relations Act and may no longer be functioning as a genuine trade union. The union and interested parties now have 60 days to make representations before a final decision is taken.
