Trump says he won’t use nuclear weapon on Iran, doesn’t want to ‘rush’ peace deal: Press conference
President Donald Trump said he’s not pressured to make a peace deal with Iran as tensions rise in the Strait of Hormuz amid an ongoing ceasefire. His comments came nearly a month after an address to the nation in which the president insisted the war was nearing an end.
In response to a reporter’s question during his White House press conference, Trump said he would not use a nuclear weapon against Iran.
“Why would I need it?” Trump asked while sitting in the Oval Office. “Why would I use a nuclear weapon when we’ve totally in a very conventional way decimated them without it?
