Gen Fannie Masemola in court over PFMA violation


National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola appeared in court this morning, charged with four counts of contravention of the Public Finance Management Act. This distinguishes his case from that of 15 other accused, including senior police officers, who appeared alongside alleged criminal cartel member Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala last month on fraud and corruption charges. However, the state wants Masemola’s case to be joined with that of Matlala and his co-accused.
