SAA turning the corner, recording profits
The Portfolio Committee on Transport has been told that the South African Airways could be closed in a year if the current situation continues.
While the national carrier is turning the corner and recording profits, it however remains an ongoing concern.
Transport Minister Barbara Creecy says the profits are driven by the sale of the London Heathrow route by SAA.
Creecy and the Auditor General’s office briefed the Transport Portfolio Committee on the SAA 2024/25 financial report.
