Hijacked buildings | Hillbrow NPO in hot water with the law
An orphanage that has been housing and feeding abandoned children and vulnerable families in a hijacked historic building in Hillbrow, Johannesburg- is now in hot water with the law.
The centre, Malaika, is registered with the department of Social Development, with social workers reportedly conducting regular inspections.
Yet the conditions it operates under, raise serious health and safety concerns.
