CEASEFIRE TAKES EFFECT IN LEBANON AMID REPORTED ISRAELI VIOLATIONS
Fireworks lit up the sky above the Lebanese capital Beirut and jubilant crowds were seen celebrating on the streets across the country as the 10-day ceasefire with Israel came into effect at midnight local time. Reports, however, are emerging about violations of the ceasefire by Israel.

U.S. officials have informed some European counterparts that deliveries of previously contracted weapons are likely to be delayed due to the strain on American munition stocks, brought on by the war on Iran. The story was reported on Friday by Reuters, which cited sources familiar with the matter.
