Self Driving Tesla Crashes Through Barrier Moments Before Oncoming Train

A Tesla driver said his car’s autopilot “suddenly accelerated” through a railroad gate, narrowly missing an oncoming train in Plano, Texas. While waiting at the fully lowered railroad gate, lights flashing, and oncoming train Joshua Brown said he was relaxed in his seat knowing it would be at least a minute before the train would pass. The Tesla suddenly accelerated forward on its own creating a dangerous situation.
