Israeli PM Netanyahu says Iran war is ‘beyond halfway point’ | BBC News


Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the war is “definitely beyond the halfway point” but later clarified that was in terms of missions, not time.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti oil tanker carrying millions of barrels caught fire after being hit near Dubai – officials in Kuwait have blamed Iran, but Iranian authorities do not yet appear to have acknowledged the attack. The 24-man crew aboard are safe and the blaze is under control.

Israel has also said it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of three UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces having been fighting Hezbollah.
